I’ve finally found a place that sleeps as little as I do. The two weeks I’ve been here doing a contract job for Special Ops Media have gone by so fast, which is certainly the pace here, I dig it. The people at Special Ops are amazing, and I hope to be involved with them in the near future ;)
There is so much to do here, it’s kinda of hard to figure out what sort of shinnanigans I want to get into. The first few days, I just had a blast wandering around Manhattan. Art, everywhere, walked into a few galleries during my trek, and saw a cool exhibition of celeb photography, mostly shots of Mick Jagger and Sid Vicious in a sea of women and alcohol, on my next art stop I found some high end gallery that had a nice little Dali collection, even an original, was pretty sweet seeing my idol’s work in person for the first time.

I recently visited the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis. Witnessed tons of amazing exhibits, one in particular that i enjoyed was Richard Prince’s, his typographic pieces filled with dark humor were amazing. Minneapolis has such a rich art scene, and i’d have to say the walker is at the center of it, certainly one of the best museums i’ve ever been to, from the architecture to the curation, pure choice!
These photos were taken on my iPhone, which take pretty good pictures for a phone. First shot is from the 3rd floor look out point, overlooking the Minneapolis skyline. The 2nd shot is at the entrance to one of the minimalism exhibits, i love the flourished ceiling, reminds me of Ryan McGuiness.

I just came back from a trip to Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and was lucky to visit the Milwaukee Art Museum. I was first blown away by the building designed by Spain’s Santiago Calatrava. The museum has a great collection, I got to see some Warhol soup cans, and a Monet, as well as a bunch of great contemporary, historical, and Op Art. Certainly a midwest treasure you must check out. You can view more photos of the museum on my Flickr.
